Position Summary

SUMMARY:

The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis will be responsible for a variety of corporate finance functions including but not limited to the company’s annual budget, quarterly and periodic forecasts, variance analyses, and drafting and coordinating analytical reports provided to senior management and the board of directors.  The Manager will also be responsible for conducing analysis and creating financial models for senior management on an ad hoc basis.  Additionally, during busy periods for the department, the Manager may also support the Vice President, Investor Relations & Financial Planning on other activities, including but not limited to the Company’s quarterly earnings press releases and analysis of potential mergers, acquisitions, and business development activities. The Manager must be flexible on hours during busy periods to ensure project deadlines are met. 

 
Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate the company’s annual budget and rolling forecasts of each business unit and geographic division
    • Coordinate with senior management and geographic divisions to set the timeline, roles and responsibilities
    • Support geographic divisions, as needed, to ensure that timelines are met
    • Provide feedback on submissions to each individual business unit and geographic division on their submissions
    • Consolidate, review and analyze the submissions from each individual business unit and geographic division
    • Coordinate and prepare review materials for senior management on consolidated results and individual submissions from  business units and geographic divisions
    • Upload and maintain the company’s annual budget and rolling forecasts in our ERP system
  • Work with geographic divisions and corporate accounting department to prepare variance explanation reports during the monthly accounting close process.
  • Assist with the preparation of the company’s public outlook for investors
  • Track and measure ROI vs. business case for certain capital projects and acquisitions.
  • Prepare and coordinate monthly and quarterly financial and analytical reports.
  • Conduct analysis and create financial models, primarily on an ad hoc basis, for the Vice President, Investor Relations and Financial planning and for senior management.
  • Assist Investor Relations & Financial Planning department in meeting cyclical and ad hoc deadlines for projects, frequently requiring evening and weekend availability.
  • Maintain relationships with geographic finance teams to ensure quality deliverables and proper information flow.

  • High level Excel skills including creating pivot tables and complex formulas required

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a business environment in a financial planning, financial analysis or accounting role
  • Accounting knowledge of income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows required.
  • Experience with Oracle and budgeting tools such as Hyperion or Cognos preferred

ENVIRONMENT:

100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.  Approximately 10% travel, including international travel to company’s offices in Mexico, Brazil and India may be required in support of the positions responsibilities.
